Meet the Presenters
Katie Franklin is Sr. Manager, Global Fraud & Payment Solutions at GoPro with 10+ years experience in the payment card industry. She has responsibility for real-time fraud management, chargebacks, and global payment operations. Prior to joining GoPro, she worked in fraud management and payments at several companies, including most recently Hotwire/Expedia. Most notable is her six years at MasterCard within Fraud Detection & Review, where she conducted compliance audits and worldwide investigations whilst partnering with various government agencies.
As the eCommerce Account Executive for Whitepages Pro, Katie McGinn works closely with merchants to find the right identity verification solution. With her industry knowledge, Katie has helped many companies onboard Whitepages Pro data as an integral part to their fraud process. Katie joined Whitepages a little over a year ago after working for the yellow pages. Yes, the actual phone book. Katie holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications from Towson University.
Mitch Muroff is the CEO and founder of Curaxian. Mitch has over 26 years' experience in the payments industry and is passionate about improving risk management and payment operations through better analytics. Mitch started his career at Microsoft, where he led the worldwide launch of Microsoft’s first online store. After that, he directed global payment and risk management operations and strategy for Yahoo, where he kept fraud rates and payment processing costs low. Mitch has since consulted for more than 80 leading enterprises in 34 countries representing more than $200 billion in transaction volume.
Mitch holds an MBA from The University of Washington and a BA in Finance and Economics from The University of Western Ontario. He is affiliated with industry organizations including Merchant Risk Council, NACHA, and Bay Pay and speaks at conferences on payments and risk related issues. When he's not at work, Mitch travels the globe in search of exquisite cuisine and kitesurfing adventures.
